The only good ground is a regularly tested ground. Helwig Carbon’s BPK-Probe is an easy-to-use device to determine if the bearings are at risk of damage from induced shaft currents. The device will display a pass/fail test result. A higher risk or volts present on the shaft will trigger a FAIL result, meaning the motor bearings are at risk of damage.

A Bearing Protector Kit (BPK) embedded in the wand of the shaft voltage detection unit will show in the display the reduction of risk level or voltage if a Helwig BPK is installed.
